Okay... some quick pictures to go with my weekend's events...

This is the biggest kite I've ever seen. It is 20.5 meters of sail. It's made by Slingshot and they call it "Machine." It was one of the few kites that was flying when the wind ws light.

This moron tied himself to a jetski and hooked into his kite and let the jetski pull him into the air. Someone almost broke his back doing this at some tropical location last summer and the video of the event is all over the internets. I can't belive this guy tried this after seeing the video of the other injury.

Here's a picture of the barge they would have taken us out on if there had been wind.

And, if you look closely in the picture of the barge, you can see an island in the distance on the left side of the picture. I have no idea how far away that Island is (but I intend to look at a map and find out). However, I was told that it is no deeper than chest deep - mostly waist deep - from the bay all the way to that island. This makes Mitchell's bay the ultimate place to learn kiteboarding. It also illustrates how STUPID the jetski/kite stunt was.

As Blondie would say - "Girls rule - boys drool, right Mom?!" We took the kids to Put-in-Bay yesterday and I was telling them that BBCK's Granny & Pops had a sailboat just like that one sailing out into the lake....just beautiful yesterday. Of course it was sunny and 70 and we think that's beautiful - Ma-rent would freeze on the water! Take care!

I didn't think it was as funny after I found out that they're a pretty common chain and they sponsor various parts of NASCAR. But... here it is:

This is a place that Tal and I saw this weekend. We had no idea what it was, but it sounded strange, at best. Steak and Lube? What... you drive in, order your steak, get an oil change and eat while they lube your chassis?
