Okay... the jig is up. The news is out.
BizJr is going to be a daddy!
BBFDIL is about 4 months preggers. Not sure of the exact time and won't know until next week when she goes for the ultrasound. I'll be sure to keep the page updated with news/pics as they become available.
Now... This means that I'm going to be a grandfather! A GRANDFATHER!?!? Yup... it's true. So, now I'm looking for alternative terms for grandfather that I can pick from.
POPS and GRAMPS are basically taken and I'm not thrilled about "Grandpa".

I haven't decided. One of my online friends suggested, "Codger" as in Old-codger. I like the ring of that, but... ultimately, the decision is a long way from critical today.

Congrats, Jr! If you can be the daddy your dad is - you'll be great! Knowing your dad at YOUR age (oh my...) I can't get over how he totally changed when you came. He was a great dad from day 1 and I know you will be too!

Jr got in a car accident last night. Nobody was hurt, but the accident was his fault. This hasn't been his month for driving, has it?
He was turning left out of Taco Bell and cutting through a line of cars waiting at the light - trying to get into the far curb lane. Another car was coming right to left in the curb lane and hit Jr's right-rear quarter panel.
Jr was sited in the accident.
But, nobody was hurt and that's the most important thing.

I always called my paternal grandfather, whom I loved dearly, grampy. How about keeping that in the family. You will make a wonderful grampy as opposed to grumpy. How can my baby be a grandfather? I didn't even think of that.
