And that is exactly why I forgot to even check for AC. I was too concerned w/ how warm the house felt. Stupid.

Are you sure you need Central Air? I think you might need the heat more then Central Air right now...its cold here.

You don't need central air. You have the whole-house-fan. That, and a window AC for the bedroom should be sufficient.

I'll explain. My job, as some of you know, ended Dec 31. I was notified in early Nov. Since then I have been searching for a new job. I didn't limit myself to NJ. I applied any place I knew someone. Although this past week I started sending my resume to places like CA. On Thursday I received a phone call from a company I interviewed with. They offered me the job and I have accepted. The job is the same place Putty is employed at. I will be moving in 2 weeks. This passed weekend I was searching for a house in my new town. I found one and realized today it does not have Central AC
The seller and I have very few details left to work out and then I will be moving into a craftsmen style house in a very nice neighborhood. No more institutionalized living for me 
My parents may want to rent your Thumper countdown space. Or, you may want to hold on to that space to count down when I'm leaving for the weekend.
