Extended DST
2005-07-21
The best thing to come out of the Bush administration my be something that never gets passed.

Congress is considering adding 2 months to Daylight Savings Time.

According to the story, under the new energy bill, DST would start the first weekend in March and would continue through the last weekend in November.

Unfortunately, some people are not so excited as am I about the possibility of extending DST.

Backing off is one option

With people worried about batteries in smoke-detectors, and children going to school in the dark, and the fact that cows can't tell time, I have serious doubts that the bill will ever get W's signature.

Feh.

We should gradute the change, so it doen't bother anyone too much all at once. Change the time by 30 seconds a day over the course of 2 months. that will work, yea that's the ticket...

I'm with you, sopops! DST as a standard would make me happy.

my oppinion is to leave time alone and have it dst ot st all year long. It takes me longer to adjust each year as I grow older.
