BigBro Wed Aug 31 01:24:23 PM The "again" room must have that weird gravity stuff. I can't wait to see the rents again. It's been too long. Reply |

BizB Wed Aug 31 11:31:28 AM I took a couple of pics of the room at the Amerihost (phone-cam). I think you guys would be very comfortable there. It has a table with 2 chairs (hard back). It has a couch. And, a counter splits the room into two. The bed is king size and looks very comfy.
The lady that showed me the room said something about a coupon on the amerihost web site for $50.99/night, but I couldn't find it. She said the AARP rate is like $59.00/night, I think. Shall I run back over there and reserve it - and get that price in writing? Reply |

BizB Wed Aug 31 08:10:47 AM SOPOPS, jr said that you were looking for a way to collect the names of all of the pictures found on your computer in a search for such items. There is a way, but not using Windows. Here's what you need to do.
Click the "Start" Button.
Select "Run"
Type cmd and hit enter
This will open a DOS command prompt window.
Next type C: and hit enter
type dir /OG/S/B *.jpg > mypics.txt and hit enter
This will create a file called - mypics.txt - in your root (c:\) directory. The file will contain a listing of all files with the .jpg file type.
Each line in the file will look like this...
C:\Stuff worth saving\canada3.jpg
C:\Stuff worth saving\canada33.jpg
C:\Stuff worth saving\desktoppic.jpg
C:\Stuff worth saving\desktoppic1.jpg
Now, if you want to look for a different file type, say ".gif" files, you need only to run the same command again and change the *.jpg to *.gif and perhaps change the file name so that you don't over-write the .jpg file.
Of course, this will find and list ALL files of that type on your computer regardless of the location. If you want to only look in certain directories and subdirectories, you need to just change directories to that top level directory and run the command.
For example: If you want to know all of the .gif files located in the "My Documents" directory and the subdirectories thereof, you'd do this...
Click the "Start" Button.
Select "Run"
Type cmd and hit enter
This will open a DOS command prompt window.
Next type cd "C:\My Documents" and hit enter (You need the quotes because there is a space in the folder name)
type dir /OG/S/B *.jpg > mypics.txt and hit enter
Again, this will create a file called mypics.txt and it will contain a similar listing. This one would be stored in the C:\My Documents directory.
Wherever you are (directory) when you run the command, that's where the file will be created. If you want to change the format of the resulting listing, let me know. I can give you additional /# options. Reply |
