Picture Update

I snapped 3 pictures at BBCK's birthday get-together. In the first one, she's holding up the Bratz doll (ugh - I call them prosti-tots because they look like mini-hookers). This particular Bratz doll is Asian looking. As she opened the package, she kept saying, "IT'S A CHINEEEEEESE LADY!!!"
Pictures 2 and 3 are of BBCK opening the game that 'fer and cookie got her for her Gameboy DS (that I got her.)
Then, yesterday, 'fer asked me if he could take my camera over to cookie's house to show them the deck and the progress thereon. As he loped out the door, he said, "I'll see if I can get some pics of cookie, too!"
It would appear that he was successful

Did you talk to 'fer? He told me Cookie is starting to diliate and baby is efased - - so, it could be soon! He is one excited daddy!

Bigbro, I got the gift and will give it to BBCK tonight - I have her because her mom is busy with moving. Who am I to turn down bonus BBCK days? I'll be working on the lower level of the deck tonight. I have to mark out and level the foundation blocks.

I stopped over to drop off a birthday gift for BBCK, and found that the deck does indeed exist. Gone are the sloping boards nailed to the door sill for a ramp. In it's place is a rather nice platform, the upper part of the deck that matches the size of the little overhang by the back door. Very well done. I think all those years of doing gofer work for the old man must have rubbed off on all of us a bit. The only difference between Bizb's work and mine so far is that he has not had a trip the hospital due to using power tools. Of course the project isn't finisheded yet.
sopops, I'm glad that you didn't screw up anything permenantly. My knees are bothering me more and more lately, but I'd rather put up with the pain for now rather than have someone cut me open. I think that the body should remain closed as much as possible, esp. when using powertools.
Good work on the deck, and stay away from the ER at T. Hosp.

2 Knee report:
Doc said I didnt damage anything vital but bruised the left knee causing a build up of fluid in that knee.
The right artifical knee also had some bruising and I was to not push my exercising any for a few weeks.
The best news was that the right knee replacement shows no wear which is unusual after 4 years and I it should out live me. The challange now is to outlive the knee!

Last time I saw the "deck" it was just a filled in hole, by the back door with two boards leading down from the door to the ground.
I got a call Wednesday night just before lost, BizB wanted to know how to work a screwdriver, because he was getting ready to put screws in wood.
I'll see if I can get a look and see if he has actually made any progress.
