Sleep Study Part Deux

My next sleep study has been scheduled. I will be going in on 11/10 for the CPAP pressure test. They say I'll leave there with a CPAP machine. However, it will be a loaner. It'll be up to me to buy one and I've been doing quite a bit of online shopping. There does appear to be a VERY wide range of machines from which to choose. The various features, which I don't understand entirely, don't seem to affect the price all that much. The manufacturer name, on the other hand, seems to play a large part. I haven't found much in the way of user-reviews for the various machines and the mask reviews seem to be hit or miss depending on the person that's doing the review. One person may love the same mask that another person hated. That seems rather common.
I don't think I'm a big fan of the masks with the forehead support and the 4-part headband to hold it in place. Here, I think my minimalist attitude may hurt me in the long run. We'll see. |
