BigBro Wed Nov 09 11:08:15 AM I'll drive it down I-75. Might as well keep that silly dashed white line in the middle of the TE as well. I like big tools. The better the tool works the bigger it needs to be. Reply |
BizB Wed Nov 09 10:18:23 AM Cool! But... don't you want to drive the Termite Excavator? I mean, really... think about how cool that would be. Reply |
BigBro Tue Nov 08 03:23:12 PM I called a tree moving service to come out and give me a price for moving the trees and large shrubs. The price was quite a bit less than what I was expecting. Starts at around 150 for the first tree and 50 for each additional. A bit more because we are moving them about 5 miles rather than just a few feet. Reply |
BizB Tue Nov 08 07:59:23 AM Hey BigBro American Rent-All doesn't show exactly what you need to pull those bushes; however, they do have some heavy equipment that will make the job easier.
There are some attachments for the BobCats that might help. I can't tell from just the names (grappler for example). Then, there is the Termite excavator...
Prices seem very reasonable. Reply |
BizB Tue Nov 08 07:44:48 AM I saw the plans yesterday. That's going to be a lot of house. Reply |
BizB Mon Nov 07 10:56:29 AM Congrats BigBro!
I called and left a message the other day. I'll swing by with your tools tonight before I pick up BBCK from cheer-practice.
You can show me the plans then. Reply |
Betty Boop Sun Nov 06 12:08:50 PM time to go get more baby pics. BBCK needs to see her again and get more pics done with her. Reply |
Betty Boop Sun Nov 06 12:08:14 PM big bro - congrats - send the plans on to us.
Biz - aren't you proud of your ability now that you see how little others know. You are both very special in my world. Be sure to pass the knowledge on to all the kids - not just the guys!
Biz - "furnature" should have been "furniture"! I don't catch you often so I am sure that was a type! Reply |
BigBro Sun Nov 06 11:23:02 AM N E W S - F L A S H ! ! !
On Friday Mrs BigBro and I signed the paperwork to finalize our Construction loan. Phase One - the bank is a huge pain in the #$$ is finally done. It took way too long and acheived very little beyond having various beurocrats justify their existance.
Too celibrate we took and actually started moving the plants to the new home-site. Lots of work, and boy am I sore today. but very happy...
I'll email the plans (pdf format) to anyone who is interested in seeing the end result of this phase. Reply |
BizB Sun Nov 06 11:19:54 AM I lost that poem at sometime in one of my moves :( It was Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening.
Everyone here is fine. I even had the sense to bring in the lawn furnature from the back deck. The trampoline is still upright, too.
I just went out to MBSP to see if any of the windsurfing guys were out there ripping it up. The wind has blown so hard for so long that there is no water until you're about 15 feet beyond the rocks that are between the beaches. I've never seen it like that. On a normal day, it would be waist to chest deep in the spot where the water was just meeting the shore.
The home depot trip was pretty fun. We built a wooden bobsled. It was good fun and it gave me an opportunity to see just how few parents (men mostly) know anything about using hand-tools. Even something as simple as a hammer was giving some of these guys problems. Reply |
Betty Boop Sun Nov 06 08:31:40 AM T - next time you are in Toledo, ask him to show you his Wadsworth calligraphy (sp?) He is very artistic - got it from is paternal grandmother. That previously mentioned work was sent to the capitol offices in Columbus for display. We were/are so proud - but don't tell him, he'll get an inflated ego.
Hope all there made it through the heavy storms which were on the news this morning and that Toledo didn't get hit as badly as Ind. & Ill.
Did you and BBCK have a fun day yesterday?
Love to all - Ma Reply |

BizB Sat Nov 05 08:23:29 AM Today is final winterization day. As soon as I get back from taking BBCK on a Brownies field trip to Home Depot, I'll be working on the windows. I have the plastic film for at least 6 of the windows and I still have 4 more storm windows to find and install.
Tomorrow will be WINDY! Just as yesterday was windy.
