As I said, I got fed up with the furnature that BigBro was nice enough to give to me. I think, despite BigBro's generosity, I would have been better off sticking with my old green furnature. I am pretty sure that #3 is still using it today.

I took the couch and the rocking recliner to the curb last night and I brought the sectional from the basement to the living-room. The thing is in great condition considering how old it is (even if it isn't as old as I thought). The only real obvious wear and tear that one can see on it is on the front corners where Disney has made it his personal scratching post.

And, if you're in the mood to download a large image, here's BBCK's latest grade card.

Red lights? No. I don't remember anything about red lights. I don't remember a shell house, either.

My memory sucks. I think I'm glad of that most of the time.

I'll take the credit for the snow driving if SOPOPS will take the credit for the red lights!! Remember that?

Wonder if a hubcap tree is any better than a shell house? Do you remember that one in Toledo? We took you all there a very long time ago.

Pops going to the hot tub but it is too chilly for me. We had frost last night and when the sun came out, it was dripping from all the roofs as it melted. Quite pretty but chilly.

34th St. in Baltimore. It's an eclectic collection of gaudy and tacky. There's a hub-cap tree and... so much more. You just have to see it. It's not uniform, really. The tops of the houses on one side of the street are all outlined in a similar way, true. But, that's about all for uniformity.

Why would sopops be worried about my ability to drive in the snow? Didn't you teach me how, mom?

The gingerbread house was created by a coworker. Nobody would break it for hours so she finally did. She said, "I made it to eat, not to stare at."

34th street in what town/city? It sure is decorated - must be done by one group though as it is all uniform.

Glad you had a good trip in spite of the weather on part of your journey home and also that you arrived safely. SOPOPS was concerned!

Where did you see the candy house? (for lack of a better name)

Also, need recipe for your green beans. I will get mine to you. Luv - ma

Good times.

I didn't want to leave.

34th street is... unique. That's for sure.

I had a bit of snow on the drive home, but I still made good time. There was only one stretch between Breezewood (where I get on 76) and the Ohio line where I did have to slow WAAAAAY down. It was a several mile stretch, though.

I did; I hope Biz did too. We were at a small holiday party with some dear friends of mine Saturday during the day and that night we drove up to 34th Street to see the lights. There is a particular block that goes all out - it must be seen to be believed.

Today we just vegged; he's on his way home now.

I guess from your last 3 phone pics, that you are in MD this weekend. We wondered if you would be able to get away since #3 was sick earlier last week. Happy for you. Hope you both have a great weekend. Ma

BBCK - way to go. We are so proud of you sweetie.

Son, the furniture does look good. As I said yesterday, it is quite comfy too - agree? When Talix arrives next, you will also find cuddling room.

It looks chilly in Toledo today, right?

We are going down to Tampa Airport this morning. Our friend ALice is going to Boston to get second opinions on her cancer and care. A couple of her kids came down last weekend and have insisted. Only trouble is, last night, they arrived with about 20 sacks of groceries for us - she didn't want to leave anything in the house which may attract mice - she has an extreme fear of them! We are just hoping she is able to come back. Karen & Jim leave today for Hawaii - they are cruising from Los Angeles - 4 days to the islands - 5 days there and then another 4 for the return trip. WOW

All for now - have to get laundry in the washer. Love ya - Ma
