Today, I went out to Red Sky to see what kind of deals they have left. They're moving because of the remodel that's going to take place at Westgate. The big move is March 1st and I figured I'd do my best to lighten the move for them. I was hoping to find a dirt-cheap snowboard or... something. What I found was the answer to my travel woes.
It seems that if you're traveling with anything related to water (except waterski equipment for some reason), you're going to be charged some amount between $50.00 and $150.00 per item per leg of the flight. I didn't exactly want to spend $100.00 for a single day of kiteboarding while I'm in Florida. But, at the same time, I didn't want to miss out on this chance to kiteboard (assuming there will be wind and weather working in my favor.) Mark had just the answer for me! Snowboards! That's right, snowboards! It seems that snowboards are among those items that can travel for free and Mark had a snowboard travel bag that is perfect for my equipment. He said they won't ask why I'm taking a snowboard to Florida and if they do, tell them that you're delivering it to someone. So, here's what I got...

The lake one is from Sand Lake in Michigan (Just north of M50 before you get to MIS)
The snowboarding one is from Mt. Holly, also in Michigan.

gosh, I even called you to thank you - isn't that enough? I mean we sat here with tears running. It is hard enough - don't make it worse...thanks.
therapy going okay but have pain at night - can't get comfortable. Pops went through the same thing for a while so guess it is normal but so tiring. Sunday a hard day - didn't do squat but rest so I guess it helped as I was better yesterday. Had to sleep in the chair last night - combo noise from Pops and pain and that sleep is never good so have little energy today.

I think we're all set, yes. Still too early to know for sure, though.
It's weird seeing 'fer's room empty. I should do something with it, but I'm not sure what. I have considered bringing the shuffle-board/bowling table up from the basement and making it a game-room of sorts. I may even take the laptop in there and try to stay off of the damn thing so that I can get some LSAT prep time in.
Now that you mention it, Cadence has been VERY needy lately. I'm guessing that's a reaction to 'fer being MIA.

It was wonderful to hear that sweet voice this morning. What a love! Nice way to start out ones' day!
Do you miss your boy yet? What are you going to do with his room? Bet the dog and cat miss him before you do cause he was never home anyhow, right?

That crazy cat was laying on it instantly. I put the thing down, and walked over to my bookbag to get my camera. When I turned around, he was laying on it.
