I pseudo-finished the fire pit last night. I wanted to wait until tonight to light the first fire because BBCK helped so much, she should be there for the inaugural flames.
I still have some bricks that need to be mortared into place as cap-stones, but all in all, I think it's pretty complete.

Re: MBSP - maybe people were just excited about beach weather hitting. It has been warmer up there in the early mornings than here. Late afternoons here we make up for it. We played our cribbage game inside yesterday for the first time in months. We had an easterly breeze which wasn't able to cool off our porch/lanai at all.

I'm going to be finishing up the fire pit tonight with any luck. If I do, I'll post an update with pictures as the build process progressed.
It didn't rain, no. I got all excited yesterday when I saw a wind speed of 13mph at MBSP. I packed up the kites/gear and rushed out to go play in the water. When I got there, I was amazed at how many people were at the beach. I don't know when I've ever seen the park that busy without some organized event happening.

I was leaving Kroger just as they were grabbing a cart to do their shopping. She's the cutest baby I've seen in 8 years.
It's supposed to be sunny and warm for the entire weekend with temps in the upper 80s on Monday. Downright hot.
Of course, with that comes a lack of wind. Fortunately, what little wind there will be is going to come from the east. East winds + warm air = thermals. It may just blow hard enough to do some riding.
Today, I'm going to go to Home Depot and get some mortar so I can assemble the fire-pit. In fact... I'm going to go right now.

Many, many thanks for the Kroger pics. My God, but she is so gorgeous! Those eyes! Also, mommy, I love her dress. I need to know Biz, did you take her shopping or just happen to see her while there by yourself?
What are your plans for this long weekend? We have a cookout here today. Yesterday we had a pizza party before playing Bocce ball. It was quite warm, so I headed home after my game got lost - by me. I couldn't throw the ball for squat yesterday. Have to go practice, I guess!
The national weather map showed Toledo under rain for today but the pamera we visit shows sunshine. I can't believe the weather folks would make a mistake!

It is now a shelter for single moms. I don't think they are a hotel at all any more. There are some nice hotels over on Dussel, though.
