PotC: Dead Man's Chest
2000-06-07
Yesterday, BBCK and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. While the movie is 2.5 hours long, you won't notice that during the movie. There aren't many scenes that I would even consider taking out. The movie picks up with Elizabeth and Will Turner about to get married. Jack Sparrow... errr, CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow is escaping from some island somewhere. I don't want to give away any of the events of the film because it's a really good story line. Though, it does take some time to get to the actual story. Lots of build-up, but there's enough comedy and action to keep you interested through all of this.

Johnny Dep plays Captain Jack Sparrow with the same flair (if not flame) as he did in the first film. The special effects are great. There's lots of sword play and yet another round of cross-dressing jokes in this one.

About the only complaint that I have is that there are a couple of characters with very thick accents and lips that are impossible to read. Even though what they said was lost on me, I got the main point of their conversations through the actions that others took after the conversations. Follow? Yeah, me neither.

BBCK had seen this movie already and was willing to go see it again. I'd pay full (matinee) price to see it again without blinking an eye. This one, like the first, is a movie that I might own, if I were into buying movies.

Great news!! That Doc always did well by your Mom and he 's not one to keep you coming back time and again. I have had that numbness off and on for years and our old Doc said it was neuritis and a dose of vitamin B over a week or so took care of it. It hit me when I was digging the waterline trench and Tom M had to finish the trench for me. Its worth a try, get some B complex. They give you a yeast breath but worth it if it works. I still take them once in a while

I went ot see your Old buddy Dr. Shelton, and had him do an evaluation and X-rays. Be back to him on Friday afternoon to see what happens next. Im going to cancel my physical therapy appointment as I'm thinking that the problem is in my neck and not my shoulder even though that is were the pain manifests itself. It starts in the shoulder and travels down to the tip of my index finger.

I hope to God or gods that does work, as everything else I've tried has been a failure. But at least I'm back to work now. I was going crazy at home.

Wow - talk about a great lunch today! El Ranchito - SOPOPS had his chicken chimi and I had an enchelada burrito - then we had fried icecream! Talk about going to heaven!

Nice and warm here today and only a 40% chance of afternoon showers - it is cloudy but there doesn't seem to be anything on the radar screen right now over head - but we do know they can pop up in a moments notice, so will keep eyes open.

BIG BRO - hope you are doing better by now - did you see a chiropractor?

HUGS to all - ma

We lost our palatial office space this weekend. We saw it coming, but it still sucks. I used to have a nice wide view of the pond, Oregon rd., and through the trees, the flag at Arby's.

Now, I have a cube. Feh.

It's just because the lighting was poor in those shots. That's all.

BBCK loves that skirt. I'm sure she'll tell you so next time you speak to her.

Thanks for the sweet pic of BBCK holding Miss M. What a treat AND she does look as cute as I had imagined when I bought the skirt. Now - please explain to me what is going on with your phone camera. Pics are not as clear and crisp as they used to be. BIG HUGS

Got a good chance of selling the bike. A new neighbor came over and talke to me last night and then took it for a ride today. He said he's going to go talk to his bank tomorrow and see if we can't wrap this up.
