BizB Fri Sep 22 05:00:49 PM Cross country in the morning and then BBCK is going to her mom's for Sat/Sun because her aunt is in town. That leaves me free to go play in the wind. And windy it will be! Reply |

BigBro Thu Sep 21 12:39:48 PM I'll see what I can do about new pictures very soon. Will try this evening. Not working out at the house so I may have some time after going out to eat. Froggie's moms b-day was last week. Reply |

Betty Boop Wed Sep 20 07:07:20 AM Rev - no not yet - but we are out in the boonies here in Homosassa (not Homosassa Springs) Everything takes a little longer here and our mail carrier changes every other day too which won't help but it will come eventually. One thing we learned here is patience. It comes easily in the calming atmosphere of our little corner of Eden. Reply |
revitup314 Tue Sep 19 05:45:09 PM Good, Biz - just wanted to make sure you'd gotten it because we could make you another, if need be. Great Gran and SoPops, did you get yours yet? They were all mailed at the same time. Hope it made it. Reply |

BigBro Tue Sep 19 01:53:37 PM SopopoS (I like symetry in things)
I just got back from a visit to see a doc about my carpel tunnel. I've scheduled surgery for mid Dec. for my left hand. My right is scheduled 3 weeks later in the new year. My numbness in my left hand has never gotten any better since I screwed up my arm back in late june (when I was off of work for 3 weeks).
you might want to get it done too. We are alike in too many ways... It's downright scary. I guess my next step is to have my knee's looked at in a few years using you as a rule to measure against. Reply |
BizB Tue Sep 19 09:39:34 AM I sure did! Thank you very much.
Sorry... I thought I had posted a thank-you already. Reply |
revitup314 Tue Sep 19 09:31:44 AM Biz, the tapes were mailed last Thursday. Did you get yours yet? Reply |
sopops Mon Sep 18 04:11:20 PM Big Bro
You spent the weekend doing what I loved to do when I was your age. I cant believe I was ever that young.
BizB
I wrote some stuff to both of you guys but the web gremlins ate it up before I posted it. Carpal tunnel or crapal tunnel has me limited to brief tours of duty at present

BigBro Mon Sep 18 03:45:38 PM I've never been a runner except when I had to, and then with my stubby old legs I was never fast. I wonder how some prof. athletes still compete at or above my age. esp. the football players.
Golf is one I could do as well now as before, but Golf is not a sport but an "excuse" (read evil plot) to make me go buy more golf balls. Reply |
BizB Mon Sep 18 03:18:43 PM That's one of the sucky things about getting older.
I've been running cross country with BBCK on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday for the past month and I'm in pretty good shape overall. Running 2 miles is a lot of work these days.
When I lived in Phoenix and I tried out for the Phoenix PD, I ran back-to-back 5 minute miles. When I was in basic training, I ran a sub-five-minute-mile. In both those cases, I was a pack per day smoker.
With a bit more training, I bet I could get to that 5 minute mile again, but I certainly don't recover as quickly as I used to. Reply |
BigBro Mon Sep 18 03:05:49 PM I had Alan and one of his friends help me lift, while Froggy guided it into place from the inside. Huge chore but worth the effort. I'll see if I can get a internet connection tonight to post pictures. It's a rainy night and I'm still a bit too sore to tackle any other chores out at the house right now.
Biz, now that you are over 40 and offically an old man, it takes a bit longer to bounce back after a day of "fun" dose it not?
It's been a long day today just sitting and working. Reply |
BizB Mon Sep 18 02:04:52 PM Froggy called me and left a message on my voice mail (while I was in Canadia) asking for my big muscles to help put the door in place. I didn't get the message until after 7 when I was nearly home. Then, I went and got some food for my face.
Even if they still needed my help at that point, I would have been pretty useless. I was completely drained yesterday after 7 hours of kiteboarding.
To make matters worse, it's going to be windy tomorrow, too! Reply |
Betty Boop Mon Sep 18 01:23:42 PM big bro - sounds like a lot of work but well worth it, I think. When are we going to see pix???? Reply |
BigBro Mon Sep 18 09:38:41 AM Spent my weekend working out at the house. Removed two windows and framed in a new entry door in what was our dining room, and now is our new entry. Installed new door with sidelights, very heavy, but beautiful. Kind of craftsman style with side lights on each side of the door.
New door and existing door are side by side now. Next weekend I'll probibly remoove the existing door and cover the opening. Rmoveing the existing bay window next too. Reply |
BizB Mon Sep 18 07:48:57 AM I wish I was able to send pictures from Canada. Once I cross that bridge, though... nothing works other than regular phone calls. I can't even access my voice mail from up there.
I had a great day of kiteboarding at Mitchell's bay.
I got there at 10:30 and stayed until about 5:00. Reply |
Betty Boop Sun Sep 17 08:11:13 AM thanks for the pix. This is so great for kids - team work and personal achievement! Go BBCK! Have a great time. love you. Reply |
