Last night, I had invited 'fer and cookie and missmbh to come over so that 'fer could help me shorten BBCK's bed. She's tired of the loft-bed and wants to be able to invite Stupid up to lay with her.
Since BBCK and I had already planned to carve pumpkins on Monday, it seemed like a great plan to have everyone over for a pumpkin carving party. And, it was!
I had to gut cookie's pumpkin because she doesn't like the slimy part. Once everyone got down to business, I stepped back and enjoyed the show. Or, that is to say, I tried.
 'fer and cookie had their own designs in mind. missmbh had crackers to eat 
BBCK took the hard option and picked a design out of the book 
missmbh was enjoying the show  
While they were carving, I snapped a couple of pics of
my little clay head before it was accidently ruined 
BBCK had some trouble with her design and ended up needing a bit of help from each of us  In the end, I think they all turned out really really cool
  but most of all, I had a blast having everyone over. I love my family!
We never did end up cutting the bed. That'll have to wait for another day. |

One of my favorite sites, Strongbad Emails, provided some coloring pages as part of this week's cartoon.
On Tuesday, I agreed to sit with BBCK's little sister while she was at gymnastics (and BBCK was too - but in a different part of the building) and to kill time, I colored 3 of the pages.

This morning, I killed the Tooth Fairy.
BBCK lost a tooth on Tuesday. Wednesday morning, I got up early and did my Tooth Fairy duties. I just put the tooth - still in the little container that she got from school - on the stairs leading to my bedroom with the intent to take it up, later.
I never took it up.
Fast-forward to this morning. I was opening a can for BBCK and I still needed to get my shoes on. Time was running short, so I sent BBCK to get my shoes... from my bedroom.
Worst Dad. Ever. (but not really)

Big Bro - you are way cool too. Just look at what you are undertaking right now. I also saw the fine wood finishing you did before the house was moved and know how fine it will look when finished. See - you are way cool too.
