Betty Boop Tue Nov 14 07:35:47 AM Good morning family. This site may be slow from time to time, and then also, impossible to open but it is still a great way to communicate. Biz it was great talking with you last night and we are glad you had a nice weekend with Tal. (Hi, Tal)
Big Bro - I will be so happy when you are back in your house - well, maybe not as happy as you will be - but I miss talking with you as much as we used to. I do know how busy you are and the hours you both are putting in every day. I can't even imagine trying to do all that you are doing. Too lazy on my part.
Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? Time is flying by. We are going out to friend's house again this year but I will do Christmas dinner for the same bunch of friends.
Today we go for our flu shots - that is it - very exciting here in FL!
Love to the whole group - Mom Reply |
BizB Sun Nov 12 09:49:05 PM First off - Sorry about the lack of info on Diz. He's fine. I'm doing my darnedest to make him an indoor cat, now. He's 9 years old now... I think that's long enough outdoors. Now he can retire in comfort, inside.
No pictures this weekend because my site's email is messing up... again. I really need to move everything over. I may just sacrifice the archive info in order to make the move happen sooner. I can always add the archive info later... or not. Reply |
revitup314 Sat Nov 11 12:00:55 PM My, what a talented family. I can't imagine taking on such a huge project. Good job! Reply |
Betty Boop Sat Nov 11 07:33:01 AM Diz got in a cat fight and came out on the loosing end. He had to have stitches - I think BBCK said 8, but memory is not my strong point. I didn't get an answer on how he is doing and BBCK is with mom this weekend.
'Fer are you feeding Stupid this weekend? I know she has a real name but this is the one I hear the most. Thanks for the call yesterday. It gives me such joy to see your number on the caller ID. Love you so much. Hope you get your camera fixed soon! HUGS - granny Reply |
'Cia Fri Nov 10 09:59:31 PM What happened to Diz? I'm not a cat person but he sure did warm up to me.
Hope he is ok. Reply |
Betty Boop Fri Nov 10 01:05:56 PM Biz - how is Diz doing? Does he have to go have the sutures removed or are they the disposable ones? Is he staying closer to home?
Thanks for helping out big bro too. Mom Reply |
BigBro Fri Nov 10 08:47:34 AM Might not help wit crib, but those phone hugs are way cool. Reply |
sopops Fri Nov 10 08:33:47 AM Voice recognition is not quite there and as Biz pointed out there are lots of words that sound alike, it also has problems with voices that have a frog in the throat. One major area is that it seems to try and figure out what you are going to say and puts words in your mouth. Its back to typing everything as my neck is not bothering me now.

Betty Boop Thu Nov 09 04:04:11 PM Boys - you have the meanest father ever. He just won't let me win at cribbage anymore. He gives me the crappy cards and keeps all the GREAT ones for himself. As you may have guessed, he figured out where SAH got his gaming face from. Quit laughing. It is not funny. Reply |
BigBro Thu Nov 09 03:03:56 PM I was proud of my work until last night when Biz was getting ready to leave and leaned on a 2x4 that I had left un-nailed. It's the little things like that that make life interesting.

sopops Thu Nov 09 02:50:00 PM big bro; the arm is doing well, Doc thinks that it is a pinched nerve in my neck, for now the shots seem to be working. Spell check is also working. Reply |
Betty Boop Thu Nov 09 12:28:10 PM Big bro - I just go from pix to pix and can't get over what you have done and have yet to do. I am so very proud of your work. "fer tried to get in touch last weekend but didn't get a call back. He wanted to help out on Sun. Try again. If you need his cell # let me know and I'll e-mail it to you. That may be the best way to get in touch. So proud of Alan too with the help he has been to you. HUGS - ma Reply |

Betty Boop Wed Nov 08 09:29:06 AM I just got home from the Dr.'s office - yearly physical and all is great - but back to my comment - the gas is still the same here as yesterday - $2.15/gal. We still have a republical state though - maybe that is the difference. Reply |
Betty Boop Wed Nov 08 07:29:32 AM well, da! Reply |
BigBro Tue Nov 07 08:19:31 PM I wss right, the price of gas jumped 20 cents a gallon as soon as the polls closed. My god the gas companies didn't wait long.
There will be some excuse in the morning, but I bet that none of the excuses will mention how this is about how big oil made an unoffical unregulated and invisible campain donation to keep the status quo (ie the republican party in power). Reply |
BigBro Tue Nov 07 03:53:10 PM Sopops, how's the arm lately? Reply |
BizB Tue Nov 07 03:16:32 PM I didn't mean that as a dig. If I want to poke fun at sopops, there are plenty of legitimate ways without stooping to speeling.
When you use the voice recognition program, how does it spell the spoken words...

BizB Tue Nov 07 02:18:00 PM You used to charge them?
You never charg... oh... wait. Shhhhhh, our secret.
sopops, did you upgrade to Firefox 2.0 (now with spellcheck) yet? Reply |
BigBro Tue Nov 07 11:12:03 AM BB didn't like the pre-scratched ones for some reason. Reply |
Betty Boop Tue Nov 07 10:45:02 AM I agree, she is growing fast, Cia - you are so nice to let them do laundry there. I hope they do something special for you in return. Even birth moms like a lottery ticket or two for haircuts!! (that was what I charged the boys once they left the nest) No one ever was able to give me a big winner though. I had fun scratching them off and sometimes, I got a 5er or a 10er which was just great. Reply |
'Cia Tue Nov 07 08:41:41 AM The latest picture of MissM is from my house. C&B were over doing laundry yesterday. She's sure is growing up quickly. Reply |

Betty Boop Tue Nov 07 07:14:55 AM on second look the pix is from BIZ's house, isn't it? Not sure of anything this morning. Voting day - perfect! Reply |

BigBro Mon Nov 06 04:09:33 PM not too many changes are requied. I didn't need to "fix" all the wireing, because the house was already on a piece of land, it was grandfathered out of some of the changes. I had a really good conversation with the electrical inspector before I started with the electrical stuff. Once I get all this electrical done I can get it inspected and start the drywall. that should be another small challange. then texturing the walls, painting walls adding doors, flooring and then trim. I saved every bit of trim we removed during the demo, so I should have about half of what I need.
I'm glad we are doing this with no furniture in the house so most of the rooms are at least partly empty.
Tonight I'm going to be installing the windows in the basement and then moving some of the clutter down stairs. that might take a couple of days. Lots of clutter. Reply |
sopops Mon Nov 06 03:53:47 PM I suppose you had to change the wiring from mobile home to real house. Serial to Parallel or vice versa. Reply |
BigBro Mon Nov 06 10:55:49 AM take a look at the difference between picture 12 and 51. Sopops, just think of what kind of a work shop you could have had with the room I have in the basement. You would have needed 3 full time gofers.
My favorite pictures are 44 & 45. I was working on pulling nails or screws from the floor, and the cat decided my back was a good place to perch. I guess I was not moving fast enough to keep from being mistaken for a piece of furniture. Reply |
Betty Boop Sun Nov 05 04:29:57 PM WOW!!! What a job - I have looked, and re-looked or is it looked again?!??!!?
I'm glad your "little" brother came to help you out yesterday and brought his adorable daughter! I like your cat too. Hope you got a bunch done. HUGS - ma Reply |
sopops Sun Nov 05 10:48:44 AM Wow!!!
Thank you for the pics, it will take me a few days of scanning to digest all the info. What a job you have done BigBro, and much work ahead of you.
