Watch out up north - I think the birds are on the way - I know the robins left a few weeks ago and the red winged blackbirds have been going through over the last few days. This morning I heard a cardinal singing his heart out and although we have them all year here, there aren't as many singing as there was a few weeks ago - so keep watching, okay?

POPS got another shot in his hip today - perhaps this will help him recover completely. This surgery sure knocked him back several paces - he still has a lot of discomfort in his hip but the back seems much better. He is supposed to get a new CPAP machine too but that has been on order for 10 days now and still no sign of the new one coming so he is not sleeping well either, just to add to the problem. I suppose we would get it a lot sooner if the darned thing had to come from Denver but it only has to come from Tampa . . . wouldn't you know!
I have updated the cribbage scores hoping it will change my luck around. Feb. has been terrible, so I am sure it won;t get worse! This month we are at P-9 & N-17.

BigBro had a little bit better day today, however, he's still hurting and relying on pain meds. Tomorrow, he'll be calling the plastic surgeon to make a follow up appointment. Biz ,Fer and Brook, we are so greatful for all of your help. We sure have an awsome family.

We had a very good turn out to our cause, you will be happy to know that it was almost completed. I have some trim work to do and then the family and kitchen area will be painted. Fer and Brook kicked Butt with all of the gray primer for the red walls, so now I can start on that this week. After that the painting will be over for now then we will be starting with the flooring, interior doors, hanging more lighting, closet shelves, general cleaning blah, blah, blah, etc. In the meantime we are supposed to have our final inspection to get our green sticker to move in, and then, we can GO HOME. We are both taking the week of MAR 12th off from work.
We should be able to get most of the house out of the basement and put where it belongs.
CC SAYS MEOW, Yes, that is her in the cupboard. She is Big Bro's buddy.
We had some water in the basement today. The large crack in our basement wall has not reached the floor yet. Our concreate contractor states that it needs to be. Then he will be able to repair and seal it so it will never leak again. The wind and rain that we had last night forced a water leak in the house where the floor and the top of the basement wall meet. That will be an issue for the builders.
Most likely a flashing problem.

Cliff & I are not as unhappy as we appear in the last pictures, just very tired and sore.
Mr Thumbles, (now new nickname) is doing kinda ok, however that's because he is on pain meds 24/7.
We are going to have that painting help today. There are several people comming. My dear friends Tina & Tom, Pat & Robin and Brother Doug & wife Marilyn. Fer & Wife are comming Sunday and Biz will be back again this weekend.
Alan has been hepling with various things, a hole lot lately. Last but certainly not the least, Biz, who has been a great help to us. MANY MANY THANKS!!!!!

well, I did it again.
this time I ran the end of my right thumb through the tablesaw. took off about 1/2 inch. the doc at the Toledo Hospital sewed the tip back on, but no way to know if it will take. I should know early next week when I see the plastic surgeon.

We are gathering all the help we can get this weekend to try and finish some if not all of the painting that we still have yet to do. San has arranged for about 6 people to come up over the weekend and help, and I am begging and pleading for all the help I can get.
Biz and Fer are both formally invited to each come up and help with one room each. I know painting is not much fun, but we have to get help, with a new apprasial for the home comming in about two weeks. We need to get get the house as close to being finished as humanly possible.

A nice day here today finally. We enjoyed a couple of hours of near 70! Tomorrow - promises of more.
POPS didn't have his test today - the doc wants to wait at least 3 months from the knee replacement. I don't know why they didn't pick that up when we sent him the letter about the MRI report that. (Cysts on the kidneys - but he will have a Kidney sonogram on Friday and then the cysto on 3/20.
Anyhow, he feels very well now and we are ready to start walking every day again.

OK which ones are RED? Do they have writing on the bottom? or maybe some ways other encoded. Mom says you have to plug them in to tell! Fine for some folks. Cracker rules of etiquette says " leave em alone they will look fine next summer or some other time" Our OLD Mill Tavern has the same theme as Biz for the last 7 years and win awards from the bikers every week.

Biz, just unscrew all but the red lights, then what you've got is Valentine's Day lights still up, not X-mas lights, so then it doesn't seem so bad. That way you've got a couple of more weeks before you'll look like the answer to "you might be a redneck if" joke.

Yes, we're back to normal. The city actually did a great job clearing the streets. Most area schools are in session today, including Toledo Public.
I'm amazed by some of the drifting that I've seen. I'll have to snap some pics and post them.

Looked like a fun day! No wonder that you were charged up when you called us. You guys sure know how to read the wind, far better than I could after a life time of sailing. When you hang up the kite you should get into crewing on racing sailboats they can use people like you to know how to read the wind and trim the sails.
