Today, at around 4pm, BBCK went to visit her aunt who is visiting from Florida. So, naturally, I went kiteboarding. The forecast promised gale warning winds that never materialized. We did get some 12-17 mph winds out of the north long enough to get in a good ride. I put up my 14 meter kite for about an hour. Two weeks ago, the water was getting warmer. onlyafour said the water temp was well into the 40s last time we were out. This time, it's back in the 30s. I forgot to take the GPS, so I don't have any tracks to post. I did try some more jumping today, and I learned 2 things. 1) When you're going to be jumping, don't use the board leash. If you do, the board becomes a tethered projectile when it falls off your feet. 2) I need another prescription for Entex because I got water in my ear, again. I'll call the Dr. tomorrow.

Tomorrow promises to be even windier than today and I'm going to do my best to cut out of work at 3:00 so that I can go ride some more. There will be some west in the wind tomorrow; not straight on shore like it was today.

Betty Boop, I've tried kiting with ear plugs and I didn't like it one bit. Next to the kite itself, my ears are the tool that I use most to read the wind.

Biz - I think if you plan to continue flying your way, you should see about getting some custom made ear plugs. I think that will prevent any more water in the ear problems.

Big Bro - so glad to read your news this morning. No more leaks around the door! YEAH!!!

We are going to The Villages this morning to see Larry & Virginia and their new home. I hope the ride will not be too hard on POPS - his knee, hip and back hurt but not all at the same time. I think we need to buy him a new chair for the living room.

Biz - love the pix of Sleeping Beauty!

Thanks again for your help Friday with the door flashing. I got the rest of the siding back up, fixing the half ass job I had done earlier. We had put up two decorative column thingys on each side of the door. These should have gone over the siding, and not stop the siding at the edge of the decorative false posts.
It's now installed correctly, with the siding running all the way to the edge of the door. I tested the work we did by spraying the door with the hose for a good 20 minutes, with no leaks. With the door now properly sealed and installed I put the flooring back down in the entry. God I'm glad that is done.

Taking 2 Sudafed at 10pm is not conducive to a good night's sleep.
