Saw Stop
2007-04-28
This product was made with my family in mind.

Okay, not JUST my family, but my family and anyone else that uses a table saw.
The technology is so simple and the mechanism so elegant. This is one of those products that makes you wonder - Why didn't this get invented 20 years ago?

First, a quick demo of the saw in action.
SAWSTOP

Now, their full promo video. It's almost 8 minutes long, but worth the watch.

Stacked wood? Isn't that what pops was chanting about?

The contractor has bulldozed the last part of the yard, doing the finish grading. Newbus says that it looks great, I'll have to see for myself when I get home this evening. I've got some more stacked wood to relocate then all I'll have left is gardening stuff to do on the outside of the house.

Sandra and I along with help from Alan have managed to get alot of yard work done. We graded the front near the house to plant some the bushes that we brought from Glasgow Road. I trimmed the whole row of pine trees at the back of the yard and Sandra raked and cleared the yard of most of the burnable dead tree limbs and weeds. It's slowly starting to look better. We are very tired and sore. We smell like we have been on a camping trip from all of the burning we have been doing lately. We both agree that this work that we have been doing is getting us in better shape. San has lost 13 pounds and I have lost 20.

I guess that I'll keep coordinating between the off shore subcontract structural steel detailer, making sure that the details meet our company's needs and standards.

High pay - I wish, but not too bad
Service sector - check
task that can't be done overseas - check
can't be done cheaply - requires years of experiance... check

Womens shoes are out then... and I could never play the piano (not even chop-sticks) ugh

Steel Detailing Coordination it is...

Yup, law school is still my best option.

you guys are precious.

Big Bro - remember our next door neighbor on Kensington was a shoe salesman and ended up being a janitor! Be careful what you aim for!

Finding a high paying job in the service sector in a task that can't be done cheaply by somenone overseas is the key to success in business today.

For me it's either piano player in a brohtel (people are not there for music, so talent is not a problem) or selling very very upscale womens shoes. I've given up on most of my youthfull goals that I had.

Thank God there's no pressure in this business

I am...

Steel detailer jokes are very sparce and really not all that funny.

How many detailers does it take to draw a beam?

Just one, but the checker's initials need to to be SDG to pass checking with no markups. Ha Ha LOL on floor

Now that's funny, I don't care who you r, dat's funny!

In return, I promise not to sue you until I pass the bar.

I am not making any impossible to keep promises. My favorite one about lawyers, it really a riddle.
Do you know how to save a drowning lawyer?

No.

Good!

Gad to see that you are still working towards your goals, waiting for the wind on lake Erie can be frustrating i know. the last summer we managed to get out 5 times, all for about 2 grand.

I would have been kiteboarding if the wind ever came up. As it was, I sat at MBSP from 11:00 until 5:00 studying for the LSAT and chatting with other people waiting for wind that never showed.

Nice warm temps up in OH, so I assume you are kite surfing. Hope you have fun.

I was able to do some swimming today - I did about 10 laps of back strokes and 1 free style but remember I do a 1/2 lap without taking any breaths and then, do another 1/2!! Not bad for someone who had no energy to speak of until just very recently. I'm getting better!!!

Its a work in progress and I am learning to adjust straps. I think it will work fine and more comfortable than the other one. I think the chin strap is working fine, which is part of the mask. Further report on Monday.

Sopops, is the new headgear for your CPAP machine working for you? I hate the full face mask that I've been using, but it does seem to work. To bad it's so damn uncomfortable. It pushes in on my bottom teeth too much. I'm thinking about trying something else.

If I had a patent on something like the saw stop, I'd give it away, like mercedes did on the safety stuff that they came up with

big bro - so glad you at least know you need one. Very ingenious, isn't it? Wish I had thought of it and had the patent on it!

Poor me - I had to go shopping today - the Dr. told me I had to have UV protected clothing because of the steroids. I couldn't find a hat at Beall's but did find one on line. I also took care of your Mothers day gifts to me - so don't think of it this year but I do want a card!

I saw that on this old house and thought I can't afford that, but I wish that I did have one of these. I still don't have the cash on hand to buy one, but I did loose more than that in lost wages during my time off work.

If I buy a new saw it will have one of these
