Big Bro and I along with Newbus and my parents, brother Doug, Marilyn and Neice Jennifer, went to a 50th wedding anniversary party today. My cousin and his wife had it as a surprise in their back yard for My natural fathers sister, Carolyn and her Husband Marvin. There was a very nice turn out of about 40 or more. We all had a very nice time. I saw alot of relatives that I have not seen in quite some time. Big Bro hit it off very will with my favorte cousin Jimmy and wife Lou. I think we will be seeing more of them in the future. Some of us have decided to organize a family reunion. We are going to hold off until next summer, but we will start it by this fall. Big Bro has been very busy rebuilding the doors on the large storage shed at my folk's house. He has done a very good job of course. BizB we miss you. It's been a few weeks now and we need to get together soon. OK? How's about we have another cook out? Fer if you read this it stands for you also. Besides, I want to see the girls. Let us know.

Friday's update. . . . POPS doing great. Walked quite a distance with the PT guy; very little pain, really just minor irritation really. Will be home tomorrow if all goes according to plans as of now.
FYI - I'm doing okay too. :)

Today POPS was able to sit in a chair for about 90 Minutes and then walked about 20 steps already. Doing great. Plans are for home on Sat. right now.
I am tired and going to hit the bed early. I hope I can shake this before Sat. so that he can come home. The bed is too lonely without him in spite of the snoring. :)

Hi, y'all - It is mom letting you all know that POPS came through his surgery just fine. There was a lot of damage to the hip and it really needed to be replaced. He was in recovery for about 4 hours before he could wiggle his feet and then off to his room he went. He is very sleepy still. I helped him with some soup and milk for his supper and he went off to sleep again so I cam ehome. I picked up a pizza which is cooling while I get this note off to you. I will write again tomorrow night. Love to all. MOM

Closing is over and we went out to dinner afterwards to celebrate. We are so happy that it's over.(: Did we say that we love our house. We better, because we are never ever ever going to put ourselves through this again.

Thanks for the call last evening. It was great talking to you and Mrs Froggie. I am off today for a bone density scan, If that include the skull then I will prove to be very dense.  The hip is hurting quite bit when sitting. Good luck on your closing today, I'm sure that it will feel great to finally get all of this behind you.
