NYC Trip 2004-07-27 |
Our trip was very nice, despite a horrible start. Our flight was delayed. That could have been a good thing because we barely made the original boarding time. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed by 4 hours. First, we boarded and taxied out to the runway. Then, we waited for a few minutes before the captain told us that due to traffic in the New York area and weather, too... we'd be heading back to the gate. We grabbed a bite to eat at the BB-King bar and then went back to wait with the rest of the passengers. We were entertained by two little girls, Sydney and Emily.

These two energy-filled 4 year olds were non-stop motion. And, their 9 month old little brother wasn't fazed by either of them.
Here's a pic of us waiting... being bored.

The hotel was nice. It smelled a little funny because (we think) they just cleaned the carpets, but it was very nice, overall. There were enough people at the hotel who were going to the wedding that the hotel put up a sign

The church was very nice. The bride was gorgeous.
We spent one day in NYC wandering around and having fun. We had lunch with Thumper's cousin and mother. At lunch, we consolidated our stuff into one bag. Then, when we left, we jumped in different cabs. Thumper's cousin was on the ball!
 Rockerfeller center.

Then, more waiting at the airport. This time, we saw someone we thought was famous. Well, that is to say, someone else thought he was famous and had their picture taken with him. We had no clue who he was, but Thumper snapped a pic any way.
The black guy in the center of the frame That pretty much wraps up our trip. The flight home went without a hitch. |
