Tonight, I decided to run up to Toledo Plywood to see if they had any scaps in their free-for-hauling pile that I might use to construct the doghouse that I promised I would build for Cadence. Now, I could have hopped in the car, but I thought, "Nahhh... that's close enough to run." And, it was. Unfortunately, it's all sidewalk or road all the way there. Because of this, and despite my new running shoes, I got some serious shin-splints. On the way back, I decided to go left and run through Scott Park because I saw that there was grass to run on. Unfortunately, with all the rain we've gotten this year, the grass was very very soft and very very wet. So, by the time I got back to Parkside and Hill, I had shin-splints AND a twisted ankle AND wet feet. I feel better after a shower. Now, I need to feed my face.

what's with the creative knotting on the power cord? I've had tangles in mine but never anything that looked like that

I just had a call from Bubbles. . . . . it was hard to hear much - too much rain here and too many kids at her end. It was so nice of her to try though.

I like your guard cat and the sleeping dog. He is very excited that he is getting his own house!! Now he will have someplace to which he can escape when the little girls come to visit.

Biz, We've got hundreds of 'drops' from the big project we just finished. There all the same: 23 1/2" x 48" x 1/2". If you'd like a few it's no problem. Biking helps shin splints.

There wasn't any useable wood at the free-for-haul spot. There was only an old pallet that was like 15 feet long. Even if I did go back with the car, I'd never fit that beast in there.

I did take Stupid. She had this crazy idea to cut through the train-yard at the end of Parkside to get to the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the ditch next to the tracks was flooded so she ended up getting her feet muddy when we crossed at a spot where someone had laid a big roll of carpet across the ditch - specifically placed for crossing purposes it appeared. When we got home, I had to wash her feet.

Wow, you had quite a run/walk! Did you have stupid with you? And what about the wood? You left that part out!

Who are Eric & Michelle?
