Session 13


Saturday, while Bubbles was at her grandma's swimming and washing the deck chairs to earn some Cedar Point spending money, I got in session 13 at Brest Bay Marina. I was on my 20.5 meter kite. A guy from the Detroit area was there on his 12 meter kite. I we well powered and I got lots of high floaty jumps while the other guy struggled to say out of the water and on his board.

Session 14


This morning, I got to MBSP shortly after 9 and I rode all by myself in gusty side-off-shore winds until 11:30 or so. At that point, I gave up on MBSP. It was a typical MBSP southwest wind day. It was an OK session. Nothing spectacular.

Session 15


When I left MBSP, I called Taz to see if he wanted to join me up at Brest Bay but he was just getting ready to go to the store. I went by myself and rode by myself until around 2pm. Again, gusty southwest wind made it a challenging session. I probably would have been OK if I'd been on my 12 instead of my 17. But, I still haven't heard back from Quantum about re-repairing my kites. I'm going to call them again tomorrow. When I called them on Friday, Skip, the owner, was out sailing.

I did get out tonight for about 2 hours. It was another big-kite day and I went from under-powered to nicely powered (for about an hour) and back to under-powered.

That's session 16 on the year. I'm right on pace to match last year... I think. Mabye a little ahead of last year.

Looks like I may be able to get out again today if the wind does what's forecast.

I'm still waiting for a resolution from Quantum on my 'repaired' kites.

Boy, when it gets warm up there, it really gets warm, doesn't it? We are in the 90's too but only a degree more than you.
