Yup... dirt cups were prepared for Bubbles' homework project. As part of her book report, she chose to prepare a food item related to the story.
In the story she read, the mom fed the kid horrible food which was then fed to the dog giving the dog gas and something something something blah blah blah. Since she didn't want to feed her classmates something horrible, we made something that sounded horrible, but actually would be quite tasty.

P.S. - the god was Curly and she was the one left by the sailors who were marching to Blacks Harbor to go off to fight in WW2. They stopped at our place for some water and asked if we could take her and the rest is history.
We were told when we were kids that she ran away but found out much, much later that she had been hit by a car when we were at school. She was a wonderful pet. We looked for her for years.

I have my computer back now. She was in the hospital for a few days with a nearly fatal virus.
Biz - thanks for the lovely arrangement of pics. You did good, kid. I know that is Mrs. Kirk who was the 1st grade tieacher, wasn't she? - sorry I don't remember Mrs. Rodes. I don't believe both of your brothers are in the group pic. I see Big Bro in the front row and VJ also but at the other end. If TAZ is there which one is he?
Mrs. Gregor was kindergarten -Mrs. Kirk 2nd, a very gray haired elderly lady was 3rd for you Bib Bro but TAZ had someone else - was that Mrs. Rodes? and then for 4th Big Bro had Mr. Smith and I had you transferred to Old Orchard half way through that year as he was so bad. I THINK. I need help with the rest.

No excuses, but explanation:
Betty's putter has been in sickbay, somehow caught a virus that kept the processor running at 100% all the time. We picked it up this AM, today is movie day for her and I didn’t see the pics until just now as I was tied up with my other duties. , however saw them when I was setting up her putter as everything was lost in the removal of the bug.
I loved the pics and haven’t had time to study them all as yet. I do have a ? and that is I don’t see Steve in the class picture with VJ in it. I do remember MR Smith and the horrible year Big Bro had at Nathan Hale. More comments to come.

The teacher was Mrs Kirk, my second and third grade teacher. My class had too many kids for one third grade classroom so the over flow (me and at least a few others)stayed with the 2nd graders. We learned the 3rd grade stuff while the rest learned regular 2nd grade stuff. It must have been quite a juggling act for Mrs Kirk. I remember I was glad to be with Mrs Kirk, as the regular third grade teacher was a mean old grouch (bitch). I never had her but went the next year to Mr Smith's 4th grade class, with all the kids bussed in to "balance" our school. What a joke that year was. I think it took me two years, 5th and 6th grade at Old Orchard, to get caught up. I won't even talk about my time at Nathan Hale the next year.
