BizB Wed Mar 04 08:55:36 PM I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about sopops, but I bet it was another PEBCAK situation. Reply |
sopops Wed Mar 04 06:42:29 PM I still struggle with lots of words but that is old age so her's must be young age, which I don't have a clue about any more but wish I could remember what that was like. Reply |
Betty Boop Tue Mar 03 07:57:33 AM BIZ - how I love the cell phone story from Sat. Thanks for sharing. Reply |
BizB Mon Mar 02 01:34:43 PM Thing 1 is getting much easier to understand. After having her for a few hours on Saturday, I was able to have a complete conversation with her. There are, of course, still words that she struggles with, but she'll get there.
I called her last night and talked to her for a few minutes, too. She wanted to know how Sig was and where she was. She also asked if she could come over to Pappy's house next weekend. Of course, I said yes.
She'll be visiting Saturday night and staying until Sunday morning some time. Bubbles will be excited about that! Reply |
BigBro Mon Mar 02 11:19:59 AM Pizza Papalis was a great treat. Deep dish pizza. Yum. Wait was too long, and the pie was not piping hot out of the oven, but worth the wait. Reply |
Betty Boop Mon Mar 02 07:38:45 AM I can see from the last pix of Thing 1 that she has expensive taste like her great gran in FL. It must be genetic!! My only comment is Reply |

sopops Fri Feb 27 04:58:34 PM BIZ - Betty Boop again ...... I called Thing 2 last night. I can understand more every tine I talk to her - or rather listen. She told me she didn't like spaghetti - it is too hot so I asked her about ice cream and I could just the smile on her face when she said "yeeesss" so I asked her if she liked chocolate and again, another smile - then she told me about Popsicle - blue ones and red ones, then she asked if I wanted to Thing 2 and she proceeded to tell her to say Hi to granny. So much fun - you should try it. It makes me smile all over!! Reply |
BizB Fri Feb 27 04:19:06 PM It's really not that cold for the core of my body. I wear a long sleeve shirt - which was still dry when I was done - and a 5mm/3mm wet suit, booties, gloves and a neoprene hat. The only part of me that got cold in the first hour or so was my finger tips. After that, there was a freezing/spitting/stinging mist that made my cheeks cold.
I would ride for 20 or 30 minutes and then take a break and warm up my hands for 10 minutes. Then, repeat.

Betty Boop Fri Feb 27 01:59:17 PM BIZ - I just can't fathom that cold water. How on earth do you do it? I think if I was on a plane which went down in Lake Erie on this time of the year, they would have to drug me to get me out in the water. I sit around and shiver at 73 and can hardly wait until the heat comes back.
