Fathers' Day

Sunday was another fun gathering hosted by Big Bro and Froggie on Fathers' Day. Their back yard is coming together nicely.
The usual suspects were there and we all had fun. There was horse-shoes, volleyball, tag, dodgeball, good conversation, good food and a roaring fire.
Newbus, Bubbles, 'fer, Bunny and I all played dodgeball. I won all three games with the help of the girls. Mostly, I just kicked the boys' butts, though.
Take a close look at this one. There's humor in there. Nobody was hurt. In fact, it missed by a mile, but it's a great shot.

We were supposed to be getting together again on Friday, too. Unfortunately, they just cancelled.

Around midnight, we had 1.25 inches of rain in about 5 minutes. We had the usual thunder and lightning to go along with it. It was my first fireworks for the 4th!!

We had over 4 inches of rain in 1.5 days. We were lucky, though, as further south has had flooding everywhere. They apparently didn't build retention ponds like we did here. Our pond isn't any near the the yet..

I'm keeping busy for the most part. Work could be busier, but I think I'll be ok.
Yesterday, when I was kiting, I had a pretty hard crash and suffered a grade-1 concussion. Foggy head. Retrograde amnesia lasting less than 15 minutes. Stiff neck.
I called my Dr and he told me what to watch for as signs that I needed medical attention.
Sig was nice enough to invite me over for observation overnight. At around 2am, as I lay in bed going over the day's events, I finally remembered the jump that knocked me loopy.
Today, I'm just a bit sore in my shoulders and neck.

We are rained in today but managed to go out for lunch. We went to a new place in Old Homosassa called Zydeco - Cajun fare - which is very good. We will add tat to our list of places to go - but not too often - they are more expensive than I like. We would like to go back at night so we can hear the music!! I am spending more time today on the computer than I have in a long time but mostly games.

I have my computer working again. How I missed it. I was thinking for a while, I don't need one - but heavens, I do!! So many things I thought of to do when it was down. I have several days work to catch up with now.
Is your heat still hanging on up there? We have heat too, but I think yours is higher. The only advantage (if you can call it that) is that you cool more at night than we do. Our cooling is usually around 10 degrees difference form the high to the low. Our air will be on from now till Dec. some time.

I (we) have been of our keyboards for a day as we have had some folks in doing some work that required our computers be disconnected.
Super great pictures and we almost felt likr we were there. Big Bro and wife you have done a great job there and I wish that we could have been there.
