She experienced some dizziness at gym (just standing on the sidelines, not participating) and she later called complaining of tightness in her chest. We're trying to get her in to see her Dr sooner than next Wednesday. Reply |

BizB Tue Dec 08 06:34:54 AM Ah! Taz made a valid point. Myriad can be used as an adjective or a noun. As I have used it, it is an adjective. As he used it, it is a noun. "Of" being the key to how it is used. If it is used as a noun, then you are talking about a collection, like a team. As such, "is" would be the correct answer. If, however, it is used as an adjective, then the correct answer would be "are" because you're talking about the questions, not the collection.
It would also be perfectly acceptable to say, "I will keep my schedule free to answer the myriad questions sure to follow."
I think that's even a little more elegant way to say it. Reply |

BizB Sun Dec 06 06:08:14 PM If you think it's cold here now, wait until Thursday!
According to my wind sites, it's supposed to be a high in the teens. The local stations are still optimistic saying temps in the upper 20s.
