Today, I return to running. It has been more than a month since I last run with any confidence and I suspect that tomorrow, I'll be able to say the same thing. Tonight, after my dinner settles, I plan to go for a 3-mile run staying on the grass as much as I can. If I feel any pain at all, I'll stop.

I'm really hoping that I can return to training in earnest because the Frosty Five (assuming it's around the same date as last year) is less than 11 weeks away. A solid training plan would have 12 weeks leading up to peak performance. We'll see.

Update:
Just finished with the run. I started with a 1/2 mile warm-up and then a 3 mile romp around MCO. It would appear that I lost nothing or very little in my 5-week layoff. I ran the first mile in 8:30. The second mile ticked away at 16:42 and I finished at 25:12. The foot felt good throughout. I'm icing it now, just to be safe.

Not entirely sure.

She experienced some dizziness at gym (just standing on the sidelines, not participating) and she later called complaining of tightness in her chest. We're trying to get her in to see her Dr sooner than next Wednesday.

Ah! Taz made a valid point. Myriad can be used as an adjective or a noun. As I have used it, it is an adjective. As he used it, it is a noun. "Of" being the key to how it is used. If it is used as a noun, then you are talking about a collection, like a team. As such, "is" would be the correct answer. If, however, it is used as an adjective, then the correct answer would be "are" because you're talking about the questions, not the collection.

It would also be perfectly acceptable to say, "I will keep my schedule free to answer the myriad questions sure to follow."

I think that's even a little more elegant way to say it.

If you think it's cold here now, wait until Thursday!
According to my wind sites, it's supposed to be a high in the teens. The local stations are still optimistic saying temps in the upper 20s.

Special little people and I wish that we had them closer, but the cold here is more than enough to get my bones aching and it's 30 deg. warmer than you are.

Do you know what Tiger Woods and baby seals have in common?

They both get clubbed by Norwegians!
