Yes to R&R. They hope to be able to stay south for 3 months. R's sister has rented a place in Largo. They will visit with her too. Ra also wants to visit the horse tracks in Pompano. They will just explore, visit, explore, etc. They both look great.

It's just a typical winter for us, so far.

24 this morning. warmer close to the coast, I guess as the more eastern parts of the county had reports of 19 which is a new record. What a horrible winter for all of us. My sister and hubby arrived from NB yesterday in their motor home (class C). We got them a site about 8 miles away! Hope they were warm enough - we loaned them an electric heater to help out.

Yesterday, we had Curly and Lovey over for dinner. Bubbles played with them and the Play Dough while I cooked. After dinner, I was going to call 'fer and ask him to come pick them up. Then, I had a great idea. A wonderfully marvelous grant idea. I put some of my gloves on each of them, pulled up their hoods and plopped their butts into our sleds. We pulled them home in the snow and they had a blast!

My good news is that it is above 50 now. Chilly again tonight though. They had to delay the departure of the early flights out of Tampa this morning because of ice on the wings. They had to wait until the sun rose to melt it off. That was a first for them. Naturally, they have no de-icing machines. Of course, that delayed other flights later in the day but the whole country is in the deep freeze!! What a mess. Right?

The potential loss of citrus crops was mentioned on the news this morning up here. I sure hope it doesn't get too bad.

HEY - Ohio/MI - how bad are your cold and snow conditions. We had 27 yesterday for the low and 29 this morning. It does not warm up much wen it is this cold!! When I hear people complaining about the cold here, I just say - it isn't as cold as Mich, and Ohio so we actually have it good.

I am making bean soup from the left over ham from Christmas. It smells wonderful here but I can't stop thinking about the big pan of lasagna I made every New Years day in the good old days. Yummy.

We just woke up at 11:00. Surprisingly, that was only 8 hours of sleep. we stayed up late playing Scategories and Guesstures and being goofy.
