Another Boyne Weekend

Last weekend, Bubbles and I made antoher trip to Boyne - for some snowboarding this time. We went up on Saturday afternoon and spent the evening with Bubbles's grandpa at their family cabin in Grayling Michigan. The cabin is about 3 miles off of I75 at exit 251... Here. It's a nice place and the family gets a lot of use out of it; especially Bubbles's grandpa. Free accommodations... can't beat that. We went to a buffet in Houghton Lake that Bubbles's grandpa raved about. It was just ok. He admitted afterward that the quality had degraded considerably since he was last there. When we got back to the cabin, we watched the NASCAR shootout race and then went to bed. In the morning, we were greeted by sub-zero temperatures and clear blue skies.

We spent the morning on Boyne Mountain and then drove north to Boyne Highlands after lunch.

On the very first ride down the hill at Boyne Highlands, Bubbles fell and landed hard. She's a trooper though. We made one or two more runs before she asked if we could take a break.

We finished the day at Highlands and started our trip home at around 4pm. We listened to the Superbowl on the ride home and watched most of the 3rd and all of the 4th quarter when we got home.

It's a deep bone bruise. They gave her some T3 for pain - if she can convince us that she's hurting bad enough for it.

EEG was negative - everything looked normal, so that's good.
