coach td Sun Feb 20 08:17:34 PM Some people need to go get a flaming job. Waaaay too much time on their hands. Biz and I ran past the school Friday and spent plenty of time trying to FIND these decorative pieces and failed to even SEE them. These people need to get busy on bigger issues that will make this world better.

BizB Tue Jan 25 08:09:32 AM Saw the PT guy this morning. He seems to think that all of this stems back to my IT Band issue 2 years ago. That weakness caused me to start turning my knee in a bit when I push-off. That causes my foot to roll more than normal. That roll generates a lot of torsion and thus irritates the foot.
Makes perfect sense to me, and matches what I see/feel when I run.
Next steps:
Orthotic inserts
Hip/Knee strengthening exercises
My next appointment is Thursday afternoon. Reply |

BizB Thu Jan 20 10:06:03 AM The doctor called my yesterday and confirmed what I already knew. Nothing on the MRI. He's sending me to UTMC for a couple weeks of therapy. coach td said this will be a good learning experience for me.
I'm just looking forward to running again. Reply |
Betty Boop Thu Jan 20 09:19:52 AM Did you get the MRI report yet? Hope things are better.
With my feet, it may take 6 months to heal completely. With each step, I put pressure (a great deal of pressure) on the incision, so it will take time. Mornings hurt for a while and then in the evenings when I have to get up after being in my recliner for a while. Hurry up June! Reply |
sopops Mon Jan 17 05:37:38 PM I guess the problem is over,Nort one, Gremlins Zero.
Its amazing what modern medicine can do to diagnose problems but the feet are the most mysterious. Betty Boop had her heals operated on and he said it would help right away, then he said two months, and now it's six months. Sometimes I feel we arfe back to the days of gypsies tramps and thieves and I tend to rely on a bottle of Dr good (from Cher song). Reply |

BizB Thu Jan 13 01:45:13 PM Bone scan is done. I don't think there's anything going on with my foot. They, of course, couldn't tell me because they were just technicians, not radiologists. However, I could tell that there weren't any "hot spots" on my left foot. There was one on my right foot, but that foot doesn't hurt.
I think orthotics are in my future. Reply |
