Anim8or
2004-11-24
I've been playing around with a rendering software package called anim8or. It's pretty basic, but allows most of the functionality of most of the higher end rendering software.

Rendering = creating 3d objects and animating same.

Today, I created a little man and a kite for him to fly. Then, I threw it on a background that I had laying around.

Here are the 2 versions of the results converted to animated gifs.

If the entire east coast can wait "on line", I can wait "on 'Fer".

BizB - were you waiting "on" Fer or waiting "for" him? As always, Mom

I'll have the video today as soon as i finish recording it to my computer and then put it all together in a program I have. Then my dad needs to decide what background music he wants and if i have to get it might be a little longer.

I'm waiting on 'Fer for the video of Thursday/Friday's kite-landboarding activities.

I haven't had that much fun with my clothes on in a loooooong time.

Thanksgiving was nice. The usual family dysfunction (that I'm really glad I miss out on most of the time), but good food, lots of laughing, and two coolers full of leftovers to take home.

sopops...that was a very nice sentiment. It brought a tear to my eye. I had a nice thanksgiving w/ my parents and aunt and uncle. We had way too much food as usual but the company was good. As I have now been away from home for 7 days I'm ready to return to civilization. Yes folks, I'll calling Toledo civilized!

Now that my turkey left overs have been depleted I pause to ask all of our Biz friends how your Thanksgiving day was? We spent the evening meal with 6 good friends here in the comunity and wined and dined together trying to pretend that this would take place of being with family on this special holiday. While the replacement family here are great it was still a far cry from being together with our Ohio family and we missed you all. While the temps in Ohio are to far below 70's for us to tolerate and the miles too far for us all to gather for such a short time, our warm thoughts for Y'all will have to substitute for the real thing

Love Ya
Pops

Pops didn't read the comment from you - thus his comment about Scrooge, plus, he forgot your aversion to Xmas. Have fun tomorrow, wish I could get some video of you also. Luv - Ma

'Fer and I just went kiteskateboarding. We took some good video of it. I'll post it Saturday after we've digitized it.

On Saturday, I'm going to try to borrow the mountainboard from redsky and head out to an open field, somewhere.

Then, we'll digitize all of that and put it on the site as an update.

Stay tooned.
