Carving Party 2012
2012-10-29
Tonight, after a one year hiatus due to my EMBA workload, we resumed the annual pumpkin carving party. This year, we had an additional guest - a girl that Brooke watches - to help us carve the orange gourds.

We started the evening with some spaghetti and texas toast which really hit the spot after a long day at work. Then, Chris and I did the messy bit and got rid of the goop inside a dozen pumpkins. The girls each picked out a pattern, drew the outlines on their pumpkins and attempted to carve them. The granddaughters needed some help. One had a pumpking that was nearly impossible to cut, and the other is still a little too young to carve it on her own. In the end, everyone got to do some work and the gourds looked great.

Can you tell that Chris and I are missing the hockey season?
