So far this year, as of February 28th, I've managed to log a total of 178.65 miles. All of those miles were completed on my mountain bike. Today, I got out on the road bike for the first time. Expect to see many more road bike miles since they've not salted the roads and there will be less snowfall in the coming months... I hope. In any case, I attended a bike maintenance class last Sunday and I learned a LOT about taking care of my bike and reducing the amount of wear and tear on my chain when riding in less than ideal conditions. I should be able to get road bike miles even if there is salt on the road. I just need to do regular maintenance more regularly.

Still considering doing the AOMM and the Wheelmen's trip to Asheville for their version of the Mt. Mitchel ride. That decision will hinge on whether or not I go to San Fran for the Visa annual meeting.

Regardless, I'll be taking my bike to Florida and getting in a couple hundred miles while I'm there... weather permitting... I hope.

I just checked against last year. I'm 25 miles ahead of my 2012 pace, so far.

We have some great riding trails that offer non auto ridding. All the newer road repaving provide ample width lanes and there is the rails to trail ride thru most of our county over near Inverness. we also have the three foot law for autos, some idiots don't know abt. Less than a month now.
