Quick little storm

Yesterday, Blizzard Bill and all of the other weather-people in the area spoke of a "little quick moving storm" that would be moving throuh the area overnight. This little quick area of snow was supposed to produce 1 or maybe 2 inches of snow with the 2 inches being mostly to the south. Given the temperatures last night, I figured this would be of the light-fluffy variety and I'd probably be able to sweep off the sidewalk/driveway.

This morning, Cadence stuck her cold wet nose under my armpit at around 8:30. I got up, went downstairs, fed the alarm-clock and made my pot of coffee before I went to the bathroom (too much info?). By the time I was done, Cadence had gobbled her grub and was waiting by the door to be let out. As per our normal routine, I unconsiously opened the door and let her outside. I went to the living room and opened the drapes. That's when I saw our "1 to 2 inches".

I watched my neighbor shoveling Ruth's driveway and I was sure that it was more like 5 inches.

And, to think one week ago, yesterday, I was suffering with temperatures in the 70s and enjoying my parents' company. They'll probably enjoy another beautiful sunset and warm temperatures today. Here's the last sunset from my visit with them.
You can't call it a bad day until after you've seen the sun set.

They say, you can't call it a bad day until after you've seen the sun set. I can't imagine calling days that end like that anything but glorious.

Pleasure. My NJ roommate lives there now w/ her fiance. I'm going to visit her. I arrive Friday and leave Monday. We'll be going to Orlando Saturday - Sunday to see a show. I was tried to figure out if I would be able to sneak in a visit but I don't think I'll make it this time. Next time I'll plan my trip w/ a visit to you built in, if you'll have me!

Not yet. We didn't get the sudden warm up that they were talking about late last week. That's going to help things a bit. Had we gotten the 45+ degree temps that they were talking about, I'm sure we'd be submerged. Tomorrow is supposed to be the warm day... I think. I haven't looked in a while.

I spent my weekend snowboarding. Not just a little on Saturday, but most of the day Saturday and then again on Saturday night at around 9pm. Then, I went out again on Sunday. I'm hooked. I'd love to go hit some real slopes up there in Michigan.

Did the Maumee River go over the retaining wall at the bridge? How can there be any snow left for the rest of the country after it is done in CA and Colorado???
I think we did good coming here even though we had a couple of hurricaines this last year. Swim time.

The snow is very pretty - I can still remember those days. We usually got the sstorms on Sunday night or some other "work the next day" night. Jr. is one lucky kid to have DAD clean off his car - usually it is the other way around. Love to all - Ma

Hi Everyone. I've been entertaining the 'rents. They were going to leave Friday but decided to stay until Saturday. Well, weren't we surprised this morning w/ the snow when we woke up. But, the roads are clear so they are heading out shortly.

Pete go to snapfish and get the photos I took this morning out the window of my stairway. They are very pretty!

Unfortunatley the sunset pic didnt open fully. Since then we have had more of the same type weather and sunsets buit none as beautiful as that one was
